NAIL DIARY / INFORMATION

Privacy Policy

Effective 29 October 2026. This policy describes the Nail Diary toolkit as supplied. The website owner should review it when adding hosting services, analytics, advertising, comments, security tools or other plugins.

1. Scope and responsibility

The site administrator operates this WordPress website. This toolkit does not identify the administrator’s legal entity or jurisdiction on their behalf. Privacy enquiries can be sent through Contact. The owner is responsible for ensuring that their operating details and any additional legal notices are accurate before launch.

2. Tool inputs stay in the browser

The six tools do not send routine choices, style preferences, measurements, checklist selections or cost inputs to the server. They do not request photos or use a camera. Inputs and results remain in the open page unless you download them or choose local diary saving. Do not enter identifying information in optional notes.

3. Optional local diary storage

If you select Save diary on this browser/device, the tracker writes its entries and saving preference to localStorage under the key naildiary_diary_v1. Stored fields are date, selected nail, free-edge length and an optional note. No expiry is set. The data remains until you erase it, turn saving off, clear site data or your browser removes it. Anyone with access to this browser profile may be able to see it. Saving is off by default. The administrator cannot retrieve, sync or restore it.

4. Contact submissions

The Contact form transmits your name, reply email, topic and message to the site’s WordPress administrator email using the host’s mail system. A hidden spam-trap field is included. This plugin does not create a contact database, analytics record or marketing list. Mail providers and the recipient’s mailbox may retain the message according to their own settings. Only provide information needed to answer the enquiry; do not send medical records.

5. Hosting, security and other software

Loading pages necessarily shares ordinary request data such as your IP address, user agent and requested URL with the web host. The host may keep access or security logs. This plugin does not add analytics, advertising trackers, remote fonts, external APIs or third-party embedded media. WordPress, the active theme, a CDN and other installed plugins may collect information independently. Their providers, retention periods and international processing locations depend on the owner’s actual setup and must be disclosed by the owner where applicable.

6. Files and retention

Text and CSV downloads are created in your browser, and print/PDF files are handled by your device. The plugin does not upload these files. Deleting a diary does not delete copies you previously downloaded, printed, emailed or backed up. Tool-page memory ends when the page is left or refreshed unless local saving is enabled. Contact-message and host-log retention is controlled outside this plugin; ask the administrator about their actual retention arrangements.

7. Choices and requests

You can use all tools without local saving. For browser data, use the tracker’s erase control or your browser’s site-data settings. For messages you sent through Contact, ask the administrator about access, correction or deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may have additional privacy rights; no specific legal entitlement or response period is assumed here. Do not send unnecessary identity documents in your first request.

8. Changes

Review this page after site updates. A revised effective date should accompany material policy changes. This notice describes behaviour, not a promise that every WordPress installation has the same privacy configuration.
