NAIL DIARY / INFORMATION
FAQs
Start here for practical answers about the tools, your browser and the limits of the results. Each tool also has its own Before you go section.
Are all six tools really free?
Yes. The plugin includes all six tools without account creation, payment screens or a trial timer. Normal internet, device or printing costs from your own providers may still apply.
Do I have to sign up?
No. There is no Nail Diary account system. You can enter preferences and see a result immediately in a supported browser.
Is this medical advice?
No. Results are general care and style guidance only. They cannot diagnose, exclude or treat a nail condition. Ask a qualified professional about nail health concerns, and seek prompt local care for severe or rapidly worsening symptoms.
How are results created?
The tools use local rules, a written pattern library or arithmetic. Each tool’s Behind the result section explains its own method, assumptions and limits. There is no hidden online AI request.
Do the tools upload my inputs?
No. The six tools do not send your inputs to a server. The separate Contact form does send the information you choose to submit. Your browser still requests website pages and assets from the hosting provider.
Where is my growth diary saved?
Without opting in, it exists only in the current open page. With saving enabled, it is stored in this browser’s local storage for this site. It is not an account, cloud backup or cross-device service. Private browsing and storage restrictions can prevent saving.
Can I delete a saved diary?
Yes. Remove a single row or choose Erase diary to remove all rows and the saved copy. Turning off local saving removes the saved copy, but keeps the current on-screen entries until you leave. You can also clear site data in your browser settings.
Can I print or share a result?
Yes. Print / Save PDF opens your browser print dialog, where PDF availability depends on your device. Download result saves plain text; the diary also offers a CSV export. The site does not share files automatically. A downloaded file is outside the site’s control.
Does the colour matcher analyse my skin?
No. It uses undertone and style preferences you select. It has no camera, image analysis or brand shade database. Actual polish appearance depends on formula, lighting and application.
Are manicure costs current market prices?
No. You supply every amount. The tool does not contact salons, compare offers or convert currencies. Check the simplified tip and tax assumptions against your own quote and local rules.
Why does my growth entry show no change or a negative change?
The tracker compares free-edge measurements. Filing, cutting and inconsistent measuring affect those numbers. It cannot determine biological growth or why a measurement changed.
Can the checklist tell me that everything is fine?
No. An empty checklist means no listed observation was selected, not a healthy result. The tool cannot replace an examination, and a concerning change deserves professional advice regardless of the output.
Can I use the site on a phone or with a keyboard?
Yes. The interface uses responsive layouts, labelled inputs and keyboard-operable controls. The diary table can scroll on small screens. Printing and downloading depend on your browser. Report any barrier through Contact.
Can I enter HTML in notes?
Notes are rendered as literal text, not executed markup. Optional blank fields are omitted. Avoid personal or health information even though the tools do not transmit their inputs.
Why is my Contact message not arriving?
The form depends on the site host’s WordPress mail configuration. A success message does not guarantee inbox delivery. The owner should test mail delivery on staging and configure a reliable mail service before launch.
